The Tv Tower measuring 197 metres at its highest point stands on Misina, one of the peaks of the Mecsek Mountains (535 m). From its observation deck you can enjoy a 360 degree view over Pécs and the surroundings. Stroll around and take in the sights from every point of the compass: to the south lies the beautiful 2000-year-old city of Pécs , to the east the peaks of Hármas-hegy and Zengő may be seen while to the west the highest peak of the Central-Mecsek Mountains, the Tubes can be found.

 

A lift provides access to the observation deck and the restaurant a level below. A small exhibition space opening from the restaurant gives a brief overview of the fauna and flora of the Mecsek Mountains. Rocks and fossils are also on display, and a topographic model introduces the topographical features of the Mecsek.

 

If you can’t wait to discover the great outdoors, TV Tower is a good starting point with several paths running across the hilltop of Misina.
